ASAAC 2010 Show ConvenorsExhibitors InformationThe All Sooke Arts and Crafts Society Christmas show runs the third weekend of November each year. Initially, the tables are available for All Sooke Arts and Crafts Association members only, with applications being distributed to the ASAAC membership in the spring. Any remaining tables may become available to non-members later in the year, after ASAAC members have decided about their participation.
If you are intersted in applying to be in our show, please follow the instructions given on the "REQUEST FOR APPLICATION" page to express your interest to the Show Convenor. The show is not juried, however, if spots become available, we will select vendors with items that complement those already in the show, so it is not a first-come/first-served waitlist. To become a member, come to the first meeting of the year in January and apply for membership. We meet the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm at the Sooke Seniors Centre. See the Membership page for more details. EXHIBIT REGULATIONS The following regulations must be followed by all exhibitors: * All goods must be locally handcrafted; no commercial kits or imports are permitted. * Vendors must sell their own handcrafted items as described on the application. Any additional items produced by family or friends must be pre-approved by the Show Convenors. * Vendors may share a space but each vendor must submit a separate application. Please specify sharing cost in the "Other" box on the Payment Information form. * Vendors are required to keep their exhibit within their allotted space and within height restrictions. * Displays higher than 3 feet above table, and all backdrops, must be approved by the Show Convenors. * Vendors are asked to carry out their business in a way that does not intrude upon or disturb others, or detract from other exhibits. * Vendors are required to display respectful conduct to everyone at all times during the show. * No nails or staples are permitted on walls, post, or tables in the Sooke Community Hall. * All vendors must comply with the Municipal and Provincial food, health, safety and gaming laws. The ASAAC Show Convenors reserves the right to prohibit or restrict any exhibit, activity, or conduct within the exhibit area which, in the opinion of the Show Convenor(s) is not suitable, including raffles, draws, discount coupons, sales of imported/manufactured goods, or any other inappropriate vendor conduct. * All vendors must park away from the Sooke Community Hall vicinity. Space is available in the Country Market lot on Otter Point Road. Show Convenors have the right to removal of items , exhibits , or vendors not in compliance. Decisions made by Show Convenors are final. |
